James: I loved Tems’ album For Broken Ears last year, so I was excited to see her on the CLB tracklist. Heifetz: The only choice for best feature is the one where Future says, “I’m too sexy for this syrup.” The Good, the Godly, and the Gluttonous of Kanye West’s ‘Donda’ Kanye West ‘Donda’ Reactions With Van Lathan The Kanye West ‘Donda’ Exit Survey 5. Harvilla: “I even got the cleanin’ staff plotting extortion on me.” “I remember that I told you I miss you, that was kinda like a mass text” and “My losing nights are still a vibe” will show up in separate posts on my IG within the next week. Heifetz: Your Insta feed on Sunday will just be a couple pics with the caption “certified lover boy,” which is how you know there’s no hits on this album.Ĭomer: Can’t stop/won’t stop at one. Jenkins: I’m fairly certain “I’ve been losin’ friends and findin’ peace, but honestly that sound like a fair trade to me” will top the Instagram caption charts, but if I could suggest an alternative: “I remember that I told you I miss you, that was kinda like a mass text.” Please use this for your post-break-up glow-up selfie. I also expect to see, “Anxiety’s a drug I use to get the job done,” and, “Knew I needed love but I think I value the hate more.” Eventually I expect LeBron James to get tired of guests at his home asking to reenact, “Up in Bron crib, fishbowl wineglasses.” ![]() James: I saw three instances of, “I’ve been losin’ friends and findin’ peace,” on social media within an hour of the album’s release. Sayles: “Heart is on my sleeve and my body is in the hall of fame.” Honestly, who can’t relate? What’s the best Instagram caption on CLB? Sayles: “Fucking Fans” is a photocopy of a photocopy of a Drake song, with only the toxicity becoming clearer each time. Kermah: Without question, it’s gotta be “Girls Want Girls.” I’m not trying to write a think piece on “Yeah, say that you a lesbian, girl, me too,” but Drake is getting too old to rap shit like this.Ĭomer: The closest I’ve come to a quick skip is “Knife Talk,” which sounds like it belongs on Dark Lane Demo Tapes, not Drizzy’s first major release since 2018. ![]() I thought that it might be a sample of some viral “How to Make a Kid Cudi Song” video. I’ve been enjoying him all week on Kanye’s “Moon.” But when “IMY2” kicked in, it instantly sounded to me like a parody of a Kid Cudi song. Pryor: I know I’m tempting a swarm of millennial male angst with this but I’m gonna go with “IMY2.” Drake does best with someone who covers up his own vocal limitations, which is, uh, not Cudi. I’m shocked it’s not a song about how the maids are stealing his fine china. Harvilla: Just say no to Drake talking fake tough on a song called “Knife Talk” in the year of our lord 2021. Jenkins: “Way 2 Sexy.” What is that chorus? The Hollow Prestige of ‘Certified Lover Boy’ 3. You run into assholes all day? You’re the asshole.” Rob Harvilla : To quote the great Raylan Givens, “You run into an asshole in the morning, you ran into an asshole. If you’re looking for Pop Drake, R&B Drake, or Dance Floor Drake, this isn’t the Drake album for you.Īric Jenkins : Listening to the opening track and thinking, Man, this is some “Tuscan Leather” shit, is mostly a compliment but also a little damning. ![]() The bars here are more memorable than the songs. Matt James : If all you ever want out of Drake is for him to rap his damn ass off, you’re really going to enjoy CLB. But I have to dock some points for not giving a feature to fellow Kanye nemesis Soulja Boy. Jonathan Kermah: A less exhausting listening experience than Donda. It sounds like the final album in a trilogy with Take Care and Nothing Was the Same, and that’s something to celebrate. Lex Pryor : Don’t worry … … Daddy’s home.ĭan Comer: It’s too early to say whether CLB’s a classic, but it’s certainly stronger than Views and Scorpion. Justin Sayles : We’ve reached the point where Drake albums are no longer good or bad, they’re just Drake albums: pretty good on first listen, worse on subsequent ones, too long, something to appeal to every type of listener. What’s your tweet-length review of Certified Lover Boy?ĭanny Heifetz : A lot of feelings but not a lot of vibes. But was it worth the wait? The Ringer staff gives their initial reviews, debates who is winning the Drake-Kanye feud, and tries to figure out whether “Way 2 Sexy” is trash or classic. Nearly nine months after he promised to drop Certified Lover Boy, Drake has finally returned with his latest project.

![]() ![]() In the below image, take notice of the styling of both the meta/"Windows" key - a flat modern icon of Microsoft's recent motifs, and the OEM Dell branding - indicating this keyboard likely came bundled as part of desktop system. ![]() These aren't hard and fast rules for finding a PS/2 adaptable keyboard, as much as a short gist of guidelines that can hopefully point you at a compatible keyboard in your spare parts pile. I'll try and communicate what I've noticed about this stuff as best I can. If you have that many more USB keyboards stashed away, it might be worth trying the adapter on several different keyboards based on a few key factors. The passive PS/2↔USB pin adapters not working may be merely a factor of your choice of USB keyboard to be converted being too new. Not cheap, still easy: buy a really expensive, nice keyboard that also works over PS/2 and take it as an excuse to get yourself a nice keyboard for day-to-day computing! The short version of this answer boils down to something pretty simple and easy:Ĭheap, easy: try more different keyboards with your passive PS/2↔USB pin adapter I've looked, so if it's really a duplicate, I missed it and will be happy to find I was wrong.) (Before you think about whether this is a duplicate, there are many questions asking how to connect a PS/2 keyboard to USB. There is a small plug-style converter around - I researched and found they should not work and I even wasted a couple of bucks getting one to be sure - and physical-only adapters, sure enough, do not work. But I have a lot of USB keyboards and rather than get another bulky keyboard, is there an adapter that takes a modern USB keyboard and converts this to a PS/2 male plug with correct PS/2 serial protocol? The one PS/2 keyboard that I have is the kind that used to cost about $5, works just well enough to show that the terminal is OK. I could get lucky and find a good keyboard for $100 or so, factoring in shipping to Australia. There was also a PC-style keyboard available. The Digital OEM keyboard was a LK 411, with a PS/2 plug. I have a DEC VT525 terminal base ( recently repaired) that requires a PS/2 keyboard. ![]() its Peekaboo everywhere for her and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star is. Just because these songs are for children is no reason to handicap the interface this bad. You should also be able to make multiple playlists (like an all numbers or all letters playlist, but don’t make the playlists for us, let us build our own). It’d be much better (and an easy 5-star rating) if the initial download included all the songs and you could delete the ones you don’t want or if the current download system were really fast. I like the fact that it runs on an old version of iOS (I’m playing them on an old iPad 2), but that’s no excuse for such a poor interface design. There’s also a sort of playlist system, but you can’t create different sets of playlists and save them. You pay for the app, then you have to download every song separately? Ok, but then the downloads are incredibly slow (I have gigabit internet at home with an excellent WiFi network) and once you download a song you can’t delete it to manage your storage space.
